Golf Course owned by Trump Focus of Scrutiny Following Gaza Proposal

The protest was organized by Palestine Action, which stated on Saturday that the vandalism was “in response to the American administration’s plans and threats to destroy, ethnically cleanse, and ‘take over’ the Palestinian Gaza Strip.”
Footage shared by the activists shows “GAZA IS NOT FOR SALE” spray-painted in large white letters across the golf course, with several holes stripped of their turf.
“Whilst Trump attempts to treat Gaza as his property, he should know his own property is within reach,” the group stated on X.
Another post featured images of red-painted slogans such as “Free Gaza” on the clubhouse, with Palestinians claiming that the golf course was completely shut down as a result of their actions.
A representative for Trump Turnberry characterized the incident as a “childish, criminal act,” asserting that it would not interfere with normal operations. Meanwhile, Scottish police announced that they are conducting an investigation.
In February, Trump proposed the idea of relocating Gaza’s population and redeveloping the enclave into a luxury tourist destination called the “Riviera of the Middle East.” This plan would involve relocating over 2 million Palestinians to neighboring Arab nations. The former president had previously shared an AI-generated video promoting “Trump Gaza,” which featured himself alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and tech billionaire Elon Musk.
Palestinian leaders condemned the proposal, and Arab nations warned it could “put oil on the fire in the region.”
The situation in Gaza has deteriorated significantly since the Israeli military launched an operation in response to a surprise attack by Hamas on October 7, which resulted in around 1,200 Israeli deaths and 250 hostages. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, over 48,000 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed since then, with approximately 70% of buildings in northern Gaza damaged or destroyed, rendering vast areas uninhabitable.
