Paul Pelosi at home after release from hospital
The 82-year-old was beaten with a hammer Friday, by an attacker allegedly seeking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other top Democratic officials.
Paul Pelosi was released from a San Francisco hospital Thursday and is at home with family, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement.
“Paul remains under doctors’ care as he continues to progress on a long recovery process and convalescence,” said the statement, in which the Pelosi family expressed gratitude to Paul Pelosi’s supporters, first responders and medical staff.
Pelosi, 82, underwent surgery on his skull, hand and arm, after being beaten with a hammer on Friday by an attacker accused of seeking the speaker and other top Democratic officials.
The speaker requested privacy for her husband following his release from Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins also filed six separate felony accounts against DePape, including attempted murder, residential burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, false imprisonment of an elder, and threats to a public official and their family.
