DPRK reveals new 5,000-tonne warship dubbed 'Kim Jong Un style'
Kim Jong Un, the leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), participated in a ceremony to unveil a "new multipurpose destroyer," according to a report from state media KCNA on Saturday.

The 5,000-tonne warship features the "most powerful weapons" and was constructed "within 400-odd days perfectly with our own strength and technology," according to Jo Chun Ryong, a secretary in the Workers' Party.
In a speech during the launch, Kim announced that the warship would be delivered to the navy and enter service early next year.
The launch occurred on Friday at the military shipbuilding dockyard in Nampho and was described as marking a new era of "great Kim Jong Un-style fleet building," as noted by Vice-Admiral Pak Kwang Sop. The ship was classified as the "Choe Hyon-class," named in honor of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter Choe Hyon.
Kim emphasized that strong pre-emptive attack capabilities represent the most "convincing war deterrent" and asserted that there are no limits to the reach of such attacks.
"The security environment of our country is very serious right now," he remarked.
He expressed gratitude to the workers and technicians for their efforts in constructing the new destroyer, which aligns with the party's focus on strengthening naval forces, according to KCNA.
Additionally, Kim pointed out that the United States is regularly deploying strategic assets to the Korean Peninsula.
Earlier this month, the B-1B was involved in a joint military drill between South Korea and the U.S., in collaboration with fighter jets, as reported by Seoul's defense ministry.
