Premier Li Urges Swift Action on Gradual Policy Measures
On Tuesday, Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the importance of swiftly putting into action incremental policies aimed at stabilizing the nation's economy, while also urging efforts to achieve the annual economic and social development goals.
Li, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, expressed these views during a symposium attended by experts and entrepreneurs, where he sought their perspectives on the current economic landscape and future economic strategies.
At the symposium, he advocated for hastening the implementation of previously introduced policies and urged for the earliest possible formulation of plans related to policies currently under consideration.
"We must get a clear understanding of the major trends and strengthen our confidence, while also facing up to the difficulties, responding to them actively, and effectively addressing prominent issues in economic operation," Li stated.
The premier highlighted the necessity of heeding market feedback and addressing social concerns during the development and execution of policies, with the goal of continuously enhancing confidence in economic development.
Additionally, he emphasized the need to devise new policy measures to stabilize the economy and foster growth, ensuring their timely introduction in response to evolving economic conditions.
Li also called for concerted efforts to enhance the business environment and invigorate enterprise vitality, stressing the importance of providing support to struggling businesses and implementing pro-business initiatives.
