Blast Hits South Korean Military Base

Three people were injured in the incident, which took place on Monday morning at a logistics center in the city of Gimhae, located 310 km southeast of Seoul, according to the agency.
All victims are civilians and suffered burns, with medics describing their condition as non-threatening, Yonhap added.
The explosion reportedly happened during an inspection of a newly built tank facility for hazardous materials. The cause of the blast is currently under investigation, the report said.
In October, a failed launch of a Hyunmoo-2 short-range ballistic missile resulted in an explosion and a major fire at a South Korean military base in Gangneung, located on the eastern coast. Local media reported that there were no injuries related to that incident, which occurred during joint US-South Korean drills.
Later that month, a fire broke out at a warehouse belonging to the US Forces Korea in Busan. Firefighters took 19 hours to extinguish the flames, but no injuries were reported. The warehouse was vacant due to renovation work, according to the US military.
