'Unspeakable anger' in US over aid to Ukraine, says prominent Republican
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed her frustration over the Biden administration's substantial financial support for Ukraine, stating that it has neglected the needs of American citizens.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Atlanta on Wednesday evening, the Georgia Republican criticized the response from President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to domestic disasters, highlighting their willingness to send funds to Kiev instead.

“Lahaina. East Palestine. Western North Carolina,” Greene mentioned specific areas affected by catastrophic wildfires, a toxic train derailment, and flooding from Hurricane Helene.

“There is anger in this country that is unspeakable, over how the Biden-Harris administration has thrown away these Americans as if their lives do not matter. As if their tax dollars never mattered. And treated them so that they’re only worth 750 measly bucks,” she remarked.

“Oh, but Congress will write that check for $60 billion over and over again for Ukraine. Won’t they?” Greene continued, noting that US lawmakers have approved nearly $180 billion in aid to Ukraine since 2022. She has consistently voted against such spending packages.

Hurricane Helene brought severe flooding to western Georgia and the Carolinas, impacting numerous mountain communities. Many towns were devastated, essential utilities are still being restored, and almost 100 individuals are reported missing. The federal response included a promise of $750 in aid to affected Americans, contingent on completing the required paperwork.

“Let me tell you what is happening across this country. People are taking that anger, how fed up and disgusted they are with our stupid government, that treats Americans like Americans are nothing,” Greene said to the audience in Atlanta. “I hope you are as pissed off and fed up as I am. It’s about time. You should be.”

As the US presidential and congressional elections approach on November 5, early voting has already started in Georgia and other states. Greene encouraged attendees to make their voices heard by voting against the Democrats in power.

“This election is not white versus black, left versus right, man versus woman, or rich versus poor,” Greene stated. “It is the federal government versus you.”

She also criticized legacy media for what she sees as bias toward the current administration, claiming they belittle the intelligence of the American public.

“Don’t tell these people right here what they should think, what they should feel, and what they should do,” Greene asserted. “They’re sick and tired of you.”
