SCIO Stresses Importance of Expanding Policy Toolbox for Employment and Growth
China plans to implement measures aimed at maintaining stable employment and economic performance while fostering high-quality development, according to Zhao Chenxin, deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission. He shared this information with reporters during a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on Monday.

Zhao outlined the new initiatives across five main areas: supporting employment, stabilizing foreign trade, promoting consumption, expanding effective investment, and fostering a conducive environment for development.
Regarding employment, the government aims to encourage businesses to maintain stable staffing levels, enhance vocational skills training, broaden work-relief programs, and strengthen public employment services.
For foreign trade stabilization, key initiatives will include tailored policies to assist export enterprises in managing risks, enhancing the global visibility of service products, and encouraging foreign-funded businesses to reinvest in China.
In terms of consumption, the government plans to introduce measures to enhance service consumption, improve eldercare services for seniors with disabilities, stimulate auto sales, and establish wage distribution systems oriented towards skills.
Efforts to expand effective investment will emphasize the enhancement of consumption-related infrastructure, energizing private investment, and rolling out new policy-based financial instruments.
To create a supportive environment for stable development, China will focus on maintaining stability and activity in capital markets, ensuring the steady growth of the real estate market, and boosting financial support for the real economy.
Zhao highlighted that all policies are crafted with a strong focus on specificity and practicality to ensure that enterprises and individuals can experience tangible benefits, with the government set to introduce each measure as soon as it is ready.
