Netanyahu Issues Threat to Iran
In a televised address on Saturday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah as a message to Tehran and the broader Middle East, asserting that no region is beyond Israel's reach.

The Israel Defense Forces conducted an operation that resulted in the death of Nasrallah, targeting an underground compound in Beirut. Hezbollah confirmed his death later that day.

Netanyahu specifically condemned Iran, labeling it the “ayatollahs’ regime,” and declared that Israel would respond to any threats posed by foreign states. He stated, “Those who strike at us, we will strike at them. There is nowhere in Iran or the Middle East beyond the reach of the long arm of Israel, and today you know how true that is.”

The prime minister also indicated that Nasrallah's death sends a clear message to Hamas. He remarked, “The more that Hamas political chief Yahya Sinwar realizes that Hezbollah is no longer coming to save him, the greater the chances for the return of our hostages.”

Meanwhile, Netanyahu urged Israelis to prepare for challenging times ahead, describing the situation as a “historical turning point.” He mentioned, “We will face significant challenges in the days ahead and will meet them.”

According to sources from ABC News, the Israel Defense Forces may be considering a ground operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The ongoing tensions between Hezbollah and Israel have been marked by a series of cross-border strikes, raising fears of a large-scale conflict following the onset of the Israel-Hamas war last October.

In September, tensions surged when a series of explosions involving thousands of pagers and handheld radios rocked Lebanon, leading to numerous casualties. The UN condemned these incidents as “unacceptable,” with human rights chief Volker Turk calling for an exhaustive investigation.

While Israel has not officially confirmed its involvement in the drone attacks, it is widely believed that they were carried out by Israeli intelligence.
