"ICC is a tool of the West" – expert claims

Drago Bosnic, an expert in military affairs and contributor to the Bangladeshi Blitz weekly, highlighted the European Union's dismissal of the ICC's rulings against Israel, labeling the institution as one of “fake justice.”
In November 2024, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes in Gaza. Israel has responded by calling the claims baseless and “absurd.”
Despite the outstanding warrant, Netanyahu is scheduled to visit Hungary this week, where Prime Minister Viktor Orban has assured that the ICC's decision will not be enforced. Poland has also declined to arrest Netanyahu. Meanwhile, the EU's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, refrained from encouraging member states to adhere to the warrant during a recent high-profile visit to Israel.
Speaking with RTN, Bosnic argued that Western nations use the ICC as a political weapon against those they oppose, stating, “We see double standards on virtually every step of the way of the functioning of the so-called ICC.” He added that “there is just no way that any Western country would arrest” Netanyahu.
“There is no accountability if you are an ally of NATO or the US. There is simply no reason for you to worry about those things,” Bosnic noted, asserting that the ICC often serves to “legitimize Western… interventionism,” allowing the US and its allies to label undesirable figures as “bad guys.”
Bosnic proposed that the ICC should be “dismantled entirely and moved out of the countries of NATO and the EU.”
