Barry Brown was the standout performer, hitting 17 of 29 shots from the field to secure a game-high 49 points for Guangsha, surpassing all other players, including Kenneth Lofton, who recorded 33 points, 23 rebounds, and nine assists for the visiting Sharks.
The first quarter saw the score level at 23-23 until James Nunnally made a three-pointer, assisted by Zhu Junlong, which gave Guangsha a three-point lead. Nunnally and Brown contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively, during this period, allowing the home team to finish the quarter leading 34-26.
During the second quarter, Lofton consistently penetrated Guangsha's defense, enabling Li Tianrong to hit multiple open three-pointers. Lofton ended the first half with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Li contributed 16 points. Despite this, Brown added another 14 points in the quarter, pushing the Lions' lead to 66-56.
As the third quarter began, Yan Pengfei from Shanghai struck three consecutive shots. Lofton, D. J. Wilson, and Liu Lijia also found their rhythm from long range, narrowing the gap to four points at 88-84. However, Zhu assisted Nathan Knight for a three-pointer, restoring Guangsha's lead to seven.
In the fourth quarter, a 9-4 run by Shanghai brought them within two points at 95-93. Unfortunately for the Sharks, Lofton picked up his fifth personal foul after fouling Brown, rendering him ineffective on defense. Brown and Hu went on to score the final 15 points for Guangsha, sealing the team's victory and extending their winning streak to four games.
