Xu and Li Claim Silver Medals at Snowboard/Freestyle/Freeski World Championships
Xu Mengtao of China captured the silver medal in women's aerials at the FIS Snowboard/Freestyle/Freeski World Championships held in Corviglia, Switzerland, on Sunday.

Three Chinese skiers—Xu, Shao Qi, and Chen Xuezheng—qualified for the final. Xu delivered an impressive second run, scoring 99.16 points, which ranked as the second-best performance of the day, trailing only Kaila Kuhn of the USA, who amassed 105.13 points. Australia’s Danielle Scott secured the third position with 96.93 points.

This event marked Xu's seventh appearance at the World Championships, where she maintained her impressive record of finishing on the podium. Chen finished in fourth place, while Shao concluded the competition in sixth.

In a separate event earlier that day, Xu's teammate Li Fanghui also earned a silver in the women’s ski halfpipe. Li entered the final with a top qualifying score of 95.00 points and impressed the audience during her first run with 90.25 points, making her the only skier to exceed 90.00 in that round.

Zoe Atkin from Great Britain struggled in her first attempt, scoring just 18.75 points, but rebounded strongly, finishing her second run with a score of 93.50, which placed her at the top. Li secured 93.00 points in her second run, finishing in second place, while the bronze medal went to Cassie Sharpe of Canada with a score of 88.00 points.

Li's performance marked her first time standing on the podium at the World Championships. Other Chinese competitors—Chen Zihan, Zhang Kexin, and Liu Yishan—finished in sixth, seventh, and eighth place, respectively.
