China's second domestically built large cruise ship makes Guangzhou its home
China's second domestically built large cruise ship is set to operate from the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port in Guangdong Province, as announced by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited on Tuesday.

Adora Cruises, the cruise ship operator, has entered into a partnership with the port, committing to jointly advance Guangzhou's cruise industry and explore the market in southern China.

"The Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port boasts a shoreline of 770 meters. Among China's domestic cruise home ports, it has the most port inspection channels, with the largest coverage and best conditions for passengers' waiting hall," stated Hua Chi, the manager of the general office at the port.

Adora Cruises plans to finalize the ship's route design soon, offering a variety of travel options for customers. "After the second large cruise ship settles down in Guangzhou, we will improve our products, so as to showcase the culture of Lingnan area as well Guangzhou's distinctiveness. The ship will have a larger space and better facilities. It will mainly run on routes to South Asia and Southeast Asia, echoing the Adora Magic City cruise ship," remarked Yang Guobing, chairman of Adora Cruises with CSSC Cruise Technology Development Co., Ltd.

Currently, the ship is in the final stages of assembly and is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026, with plans to commence international operations in 2027.
