ASEAN Media Partners Cooperation Week Begins in Southern China's Guangxi
ASEAN Media Partners Cooperation Week has officially begun in Guangxi, South China.
The event brought together over 200 officials, media representatives, experts, and scholars from China and ASEAN countries for in-depth discussions centered around the theme of "New Quality, Coexistence, Civilization."
The opening ceremony featured a video speech by Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Thailand's minister of culture. Other attendees included Fan Yun, deputy editor-in-chief of CMG; Chen Yijun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and director of the Publicity Department of Guangxi; Aung Hla Tun, deputy minister of information from Myanmar; and Li Chu, deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and mayor of Guilin, who also delivered remarks.
In his address, Fan Yun highlighted that during this China-ASEAN Year of Cultural Exchange, CMG is collaborating closely with Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region through the ASEAN Media Partners Cooperation Week to enhance teamwork and seek innovative development. He mentioned that CMG would leverage its broadcasting capabilities in 80 languages to share stories of friendship between China and ASEAN, alongside its "5G+4K/8K+AI" technological advancements to create more media dialogue platforms.
The event unveiled a series of new cooperative achievements between CMG and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. As part of a focus on Guilin—a pivotal tourism hub in Guangxi—the two parties will embark on a brand communication initiative aimed at narrating stories about the fusion of culture and tourism in Guilin, thereby promoting a global understanding of the city, revealing the charms of Guangxi, and fostering a love for China.
Additionally, the event marked the initiation of filming for CMG's documentary "Pinglu Canal," which will highlight the construction and significance of this landmark project. Another documentary titled "Beautiful Guangxi" is scheduled to air soon, showcasing inspiring stories of Guangxi residents striving for a better life.
On the same day, the "Cloud Listening ASEAN Voices" experience space was introduced at the China-ASEAN Media Port, utilizing CMG's cutting-edge audio technology to establish a new platform for cultural exchange between China and ASEAN nations.
