Trump Shares Article Quoting Putin
US President Donald Trump has shared a CNBC article that features quotes from Russian President Vladimir Putin on his social media account. The article reports that Putin anticipates the Trump administration will soon “restore order” in Europe, suggesting that Washington’s allies will quickly “stand at the feet” of their “master.”

This post appeared on Trump’s official Truth Social account on Sunday, along with several other posts linking to media articles that seem favorable toward his administration’s policies. Notably, these posts did not include any personal comments from Trump.

The CNBC article references an interview Putin conducted with Russia 1 journalist Pavel Zarubin last week, where he stated that Brussels has historically followed Washington's lead and would continue to do so under Trump’s presidency, even though some EU leaders have openly opposed his policies.

Putin remarked, “I assure you, Trump, with his character and persistence, will restore order quite quickly. And all of them, you’ll see, soon all of them will stand at the master’s feet and gently wag their tails.”

Furthermore, the CNBC article noted Putin’s comments concerning Trump’s plans to implement 25% tariffs on all steel and aluminum imports into the US, which would also affect the EU. This action mirrors measures taken during Trump's first term, when he introduced similar tariffs in 2018, citing national security reasons.
