De Bruyne Spearheads Manchester City's Comeback; Arsenal Held to Draw by Brentford
Kevin De Bruyne played a crucial role in Manchester City's comeback from a two-goal deficit to secure a 5-2 victory over Crystal Palace, while Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Brentford on Saturday brought Liverpool closer to claiming the Premier League title.

In his first match at the Etihad Stadium since announcing he would conclude his decade in Manchester at the end of the season, De Bruyne showcased his talent to rescue City from potential embarrassment.

Crystal Palace surged ahead 2-0 within the first 20 minutes, with Eberechi Eze converting Ismaila Sarr's pass and Chris Richards capitalizing on subpar City defending to score with a header from a corner. Eze had a third goal narrowly disallowed for offside before De Bruyne began to turn the tide for City.

The 33-year-old struck a free-kick that deflected off the post before setting up Omar Marmoush to equalize just three minutes later. After the halftime break, City was on fire, with De Bruyne assisting Mateo Kovacic just two minutes into the second half to complete the comeback.

Goalkeeper Ederson recorded his fourth Premier League assist of the season by aiding James McAtee in extending the lead to 4-2, and Nico O'Reilly's excellent strike capped off the scoring.

"The performance of Kevin as he has done for many, many years in many, many games, he played fantastic," City manager Pep Guardiola stated. "He helped us to break this momentum that was not good."

Meanwhile, Arsenal, seemingly distracted by their upcoming Champions League quarterfinal against Real Madrid, suffered their 12th league draw of the season, leaving them 10 points behind Liverpool. The Reds could potentially clinch a record-tying 20th English top-flight title next weekend if they win their next two matches and Arsenal loses at Ipswich.

In other news, Nottingham Forest's pursuit of a Champions League spot hit a snag with a 1-0 defeat to Everton. Although Forest remains in third place, back-to-back losses have allowed other teams to close in.

Aston Villa moved to within three points of Forest and entered the top five following a 3-0 victory over already-relegated Southampton, thanks to contributions from Unai Emery's substitutes, despite Marco Asensio having two penalty attempts saved by Aaron Ramsdale.
