New publication reveals Biden's views on key Middle Eastern partner
Bob Woodward’s new book, *War*, claims to provide an unfiltered look at President Joe Biden’s candid and sometimes profane remarks when discussing various world leaders, including key American allies.

Set to be published on October 15, the book traces the histories of the Ukraine and Gaza conflicts and includes intimate conversations between Biden and his close advisors. Early excerpts have surfaced online, revealing Biden’s brashness and perceived hypocrisy during private discussions.

A notable instance involves Biden's interactions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. While the U.S. has publicly backed Israel amid its conflict in Gaza following the October 7, 2023, Hamas assault, Woodward details heated exchanges between Biden and Netanyahu over the past year. Biden reportedly criticized Netanyahu, claiming he has “no strategy” and warns that Israel is increasingly viewed as a “rogue state.” The president also expressed disbelief over the longevity of Netanyahu’s leadership, asking a friend, “Why hasn’t there been an internal revolt?” and urging for his removal from office: “Just get him out of there!”

In a private conversation earlier this April, Biden reportedly labeled Netanyahu as “that son of a bitch,” “a bad f**king guy,” and “a f**king liar,” asserting that Netanyahu “doesn’t give a s**t about Hamas [but] gives a s**t only about himself.”

Biden’s blunt language extends beyond Israel. He reportedly used similar profanity when discussing Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, referring to him as “that f**king asshole.” He has also criticized former President Barack Obama’s approach to Russia and Ukraine, telling a close friend, “Barack never took Putin seriously” and “that’s why we are here, we f**ked it up.”

Regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin, Biden has not held back his views either, calling him “that f**king Putin” and stating, “Putin is the epitome of evil.” His public comments have often drawn criticism from Moscow, which has labeled them “unbecoming” of a global leader.

In response to the book, White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary Emilie Simons shared that Biden and Netanyahu maintain a “very honest and direct relationship” but refrained from commenting on specific anecdotes. She emphasized that “the commitment that we have to the State of Israel is ironclad” and declined to address Biden’s other remarks.
