Pakistan responds following India's intensified actions in response to Kashmir incident
Following a shooting incident in Indian-controlled Kashmir, India’s actions aimed at Pakistan have been described as "highly irresponsible and legally unfounded" by the Prime Minister’s Office, which also announced that Pakistan will implement a range of countermeasures in response.

India's decision to take action against Pakistan following a shooting incident in Indian-controlled Kashmir has been described as "highly irresponsible and legally unfounded" by the Prime Minister's Office in Pakistan. The statement released on Thursday indicated that Pakistan plans to implement a set of countermeasures in response.
On the same day, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over a high-level meeting of the National Security Committee, during which the committee expressed its concern regarding the loss of tourist lives in the incident and reiterated Pakistan's firm condemnation of all forms of terrorism.
The statement characterized India's efforts to link the attack to Pakistan as "reckless, irrational and illogical," particularly in light of the absence of any credible investigation or verifiable evidence.
In retaliation, Pakistan intends to take several actions, including closing the Wagah Border Post, suspending specific visa facilities for Indian nationals, declaring Indian Defense, Naval, and Air Advisors in Islamabad as persona non grata, closing its airspace to all Indian airlines, and halting all trade activities with India.
According to Indian media reports, at least 25 individuals lost their lives, and several others sustained injuries after an attack by unknown gunmen in Indian-controlled Kashmir on Tuesday.
India has accused Pakistan of being involved in the attack. In a swift response, the Indian government announced several measures against Pakistan on Wednesday, such as the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, border closure, and the expulsion of Pakistani personnel.
Additionally, India's Ministry of External Affairs stated on Thursday that it would suspend all categories of visas for Pakistani nationals immediately and advised Indian citizens against traveling to Pakistan, as reported by Indian media.
