FM: China to Adopt Firm Countermeasures in Response to Continued U.S. Pressure
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized on Friday that the business relations between China and the U.S. are rooted in reciprocal interactions, highlighting that cooperation can lead to mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.

Wang remarked that one should not delude themselves into believing they can suppress China while maintaining a positive relationship with it, warning that China would definitely implement countermeasures against arbitrary pressure.
During a press conference, in response to a question from CN's Tian Wei regarding technology competition between China and the U.S., Wang stated, "high fences and small yards" cannot stifle the spirit of innovation. He added that attempts at decoupling and disrupting supply chains would ultimately result in self-isolation.
As a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Wang noted that generations of Chinese people have consistently pursued innovation. "We are witnessing an ever-expanding horizon for China to become a science and technology powerhouse," he remarked.
"Where there is blockade, there is breakthrough; where there is suppression, there is innovation; where there is the fiercest storm, there is the platform launching China's science and technology skyward like the Chinese mythological hero Nezha soaring into the heavens," Wang asserted.
He stressed that science and technology should not be utilized to create an iron curtain, stating, "It should be the wealth that benefits all and is shared by all."
In closing, he expressed to reporters, "China is ready to share the fruits of our innovation with more countries and jointly explore the mysteries of the stars and oceans."
