CSL: Guoan Secures Victory Over Henan, Port Narrowly Defeats Yukun in Exciting Match
Beijing Guoan upheld their unbeaten streak in the Chinese Super League with a narrow 1-0 victory over Henan at home on Friday.

The match featured early drama when Fabio Abreu believed he had scored for the hosts in the ninth minute, but his close-range effort was ruled offside. Frustration mounted for the Angolan striker just eight minutes later, as he fired a wild shot well above the bar during a chaotic sequence in the penalty area.

The decisive moment came in the 28th minute when Fang Hao executed a superb stepover followed by a precise low finish, breaking the deadlock. Guoan managed to hold their ground despite a late challenge when Zhang Xizhe received a red card in the 90th minute for a reckless tackle on He Chao, forcing the hosts to defend fiercely with just ten players.

Ultimately, Guoan secured all three points, bringing their record to four wins and four draws, placing them firmly in fourth position, while Henan remained in 12th place.

In other matches, defending champions Shanghai Port triumphed 3-2 over newly-promoted Yunnan Yukun in a thrilling away encounter. Yunnan almost took an early lead in the 15th minute, but Hou Yongyong's effort was disallowed for offside in the build-up.

Port broke the deadlock in the 20th minute through some impressive combination play between Gabrielzinho and Leonardo, who finished with precision. Gabrielzinho, who set up the first goal, scored a spectacular strike early in the second half, a thunderbolt in the 47th minute.

Yunnan, eager to prove their competitiveness, responded with a goal from Pedro Henrique, who finished calmly in a one-on-one situation against goalkeeper Yan Junling, narrowing the scoreline with 21 minutes remaining.

However, Port quickly restored their two-goal advantage as Leonardo scored again just four minutes later, taking advantage of a precise pass from substitute Wu Lei.

The final moments were intense, with Yan making an incredible save to deny Hou's header in the 87th minute, but he could not prevent Sun Xuelong's stoppage-time header, which cut the deficit to 3-2. Despite dominating in terms of shots and opportunities, Yunnan's inability to convert cost them dearly, stretching their winless streak to four matches.

Following this match, Port sits in third place after eight games, while Yukun is positioned 11th, showcasing the narrow margins and fine lines that characterize this season's dramatic Chinese top flight.
