White House Says Time is Against Zelensky – "Time isn’t on Zelensky’s side"
US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz has issued a warning to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about the limits of American patience, financial support, and military resources. He emphasized that it's time to transition from conflict to negotiations with Russia.

“[Zelensky] is not ready to talk peace at all. Here is the problem, time is not on his side. Time is not on the side of just forever continuing this conflict,” Waltz stated on Fox News on Monday.

Zelensky recently visited the White House, but his trip ended abruptly following an intense exchange with US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, which occurred in front of the media.

During this confrontation, Zelensky dismissed the idea of negotiations with Moscow, insisted on receiving security guarantees from Washington, denied that Ukraine's military is facing manpower shortages, and suggested that Vance lacked insight into Ukraine's challenges due to his lack of experience there.

In light of the fraught meeting at the Oval Office, Waltz reflected that Zelensky's inability to secure favorable outcomes had been a "real disservice" to Ukraine.

“It was really confounding to us that Zelensky could have left the White House Friday having the US and Ukraine bound together economically for a generation,” he remarked. Zelensky was anticipated to finalize an agreement that would allow US access to Ukraine's significant mineral resources as compensation for previous military assistance.

Waltz characterized the current strategy of “World War I-style trench warfare” as cost-prohibitive and highlighted Trump's determination to bring an end to the conflict.

When asked by a CNN presenter whether the White House sought Zelensky's resignation, Waltz responded that “we need a leader that can deal with us, eventually deal with the Russians, and end this war.”

In another interview with Breitbart Radio on Saturday, Waltz likened Zelensky to an “ex-girlfriend that wants to argue everything that you said nine years ago, rather than moving the relationship forward.”
