The Cambodian edition of "The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping," a multilingual television program produced by China Media Group, premiered in Cambodia as Chinese President Xi Jinping commenced a state visit to the nation on Thursday.
CMG organized a launch ceremony for the show in Phnom Penh, attended by nearly 200 guests, including politicians, business leaders, academics, and media representatives from both China and Cambodia.
In a congratulatory letter read at the ceremony, Cambodian People's Party President and Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen noted that Cambodia-China relations are at their best in history. He expressed hopes that the show would inject enduring cultural strength into the deepening mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations while also inspiring solutions to shared global challenges.
The Cambodian version revolves around themes such as environmental protection, cultural heritage, innovation, and the exchange and mutual understanding among civilizations. By presenting these concepts from a global perspective, the program aims to showcase the cultural foundation of Chinese modernization, making Chinese culture, wisdom, and spirit more approachable for audiences worldwide.
During the event, Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG, emphasized CMG's commitment to collaborating with friends from all sectors in Cambodia. He highlighted the goal of deepening cooperation across various fields, launching more distinctive initiatives in cultural exchanges, and infusing new vitality and momentum into the creation of a China-Cambodia community with a shared future.
