Trump Insists: "We can’t have the world laughing at US"
At a campaign event in Pennsylvania, former President Donald Trump criticized the US for losing respect on the international stage, describing the country as a "laughing stock."

Trump held a rally in Butler on Saturday, a return to the location where he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in July, to rally support for his re-election bid.

The Republican candidate pledged to strengthen the US economy, address violent crime, and tackle illegal immigration at the southern border. “Everything has to be the best,” he emphasized. “We have to have the best schools. We have to have strong borders. We don’t want bad people coming in and hurting us.”

He expressed his vision for the country, stating, “You deserve a nation that builds things again, makes things better, that aims for the stars once more, and that once again, commands respect, and we want to get respect like we had it four years ago.”

Trump asserted that “the entire world respected us. They respected us. They respected us more than they’ve ever respected us, and now they laugh at us. We can’t have them laugh at us.”

Throughout his campaign, Trump has criticized what he views as the "weak" leadership of President Joe Biden and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, claiming they have harmed America's standing worldwide. He suggested that the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza would not have arisen had he been in office.

In addition, Trump claimed to have maintained good relationships with various world leaders, including Ukraine’s Vladimir Putin and China’s Xi Jinping, asserting that he could swiftly resolve the Russian-Ukrainian conflict if he wins a second term in November.

Meanwhile, Biden and Harris have accused Trump of undermining NATO and being insufficiently tough on Russia. "Our NATO allies are so thankful that you are no longer president,” Harris remarked during a televised debate last month.
