‘Russia’ National Center hosts New Year fair opening
Visitors can truly immerse themselves in a festive atmosphere filled with holiday magic at the National Center ‘Russia’ in Moscow. The highlight of this celebration is the opening of the New Year Fair, showcasing a stunning array of decorations and culinary treats gathered from around the nation.

The fair boasts a diverse range of unique New Year decorations, including cotton and wooden figurines, lace and amber snowflakes, ceramics, and toys crafted from jewelry resin embedded with precious minerals. Traditional Russian lacquered miniatures and Yaroslavl maiolica are also available for those seeking authentic craftsmanship.

Guests can explore beautifully designed table textiles featuring New Year motifs. Notable items include lace tablecloths, embroidered napkins, and decorative elements that create an inviting holiday dining atmosphere. Additionally, the “Flavors of Russia” section presents a tempting selection of handcrafted chocolates, gingerbread, candies, and assorted teas sourced from various regions across the country.

The holiday festivities kicked off on Thursday with the ceremonial unveiling of the “Russian Christmas Trees.” The grounds of the National Center now boast traditional holiday trees that symbolize each of Russia’s federal districts. These majestic evergreens are adorned with decorations inspired by folk art, traditional crafts, and the rich cultural heritage of Russia’s diverse communities.

The opening event featured various Ded Moroz figures, each representing one of eight different federal districts.

As the holiday season unfolds, the Movement of the Firsts activist organization, supported by the Rosmolodyozh.Dobro volunteer group, is launching a nationwide initiative titled Christmas Tree of Wishes. This program allows caring citizens to connect with those in need and help fulfill their New Year’s wishes.
