Kamala Harris Has 'Something Very Wrong' With Her, Says Trump
The US vice president has been criticized by her Republican opponent for allegedly struggling to answer “even the easiest of questions.”

Former President Donald Trump has called for Vice President Kamala Harris to undergo a cognitive test, labeling her as “slow and lethargic.” Over the weekend, Harris challenged Trump to disclose his medical records, questioning “whether he is fit to be president of the United States.”

On Monday, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to emphasize that “it is very important that Kamala Harris pass a test on cognitive stamina and agility.” He argued, "Her actions have led many to believe that there could be something very wrong with her," and claimed that “even 60 Minutes and CBS, in order to protect Lyin’ Kamala, illegally and unscrupulously replaced an answer she had given, which was totally ‘bonkers’, with another answer that had nothing to do with the question asked.” He criticized her further, saying, “Also, she is slow and lethargic in answering even the easiest of questions. We just went through almost four years of that, we shouldn’t have to do it again!”

The controversy followed a CBS News interview with Harris that aired last week, where her lengthy, meandering responses were edited and replaced with different answers. Initially, Trump directed his frustration towards CBS, stating that the network should be shut down and sold “to the highest bidder.” However, his latest comments targeting Harris were spurred by her questioning of his fitness for office.

In response to Trump, Harris released a statement from her doctor declaring her health as “excellent,” urging the former president to make his own health records public. She argued that his refusal indicates he does “not want the American people to see what he is doing and whether he is fit to be President of the United States.”

At 78, Trump is 19 years older than Harris and currently holds the record as the oldest major party presidential nominee in US history. Last November, he shared a letter from his doctor asserting that his “overall health is excellent” and that his “cognitive exams were exceptional.”

Dr. Bruce Aronwald, who has been Trump’s personal physician since 2021, reported that all cancer screening tests were negative, cardiovascular tests normal, and that Trump had lost weight through regular physical activity and an “improved diet.”

Since then, Trump has consistently criticized President Joe Biden over his mental acuity and physical health until July, when Biden suspended his reelection campaign after a debate where he appeared confused. With Harris now the Democratic candidate, Trump has adapted his previous critiques for his new rival. “Joe Biden became mentally impaired. Kamala was born that way,” he remarked at a recent campaign rally. He added, “And if you think about it, only a mentally disabled person could have allowed this to happen to our country,” directly referencing Harris’s handling of border security.
