According to a report filed by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) with the Federal Election Commission on Friday, Musk contributed $289,100 in August. The funds were routed through a joint fundraising group associated with Rep. Ken Calvert, and mostly directed towards the NRCC’s convention and headquarters accounts, which is common for such large sums.
Although previously contributing to both political parties, Musk's recent donation marks his largest to date.
