US President-elect Donald Trump has revealed extensive plans to reverse the last-minute executive actions of outgoing President Joe Biden.
Addressing a rally in Washington, DC, on Sunday, Trump reaffirmed his primary campaign promises. He pledged to implement a comprehensive crackdown on illegal immigration, bring an end to the Ukraine conflict, and “prevent World War III.”
“Every radical, foolish executive order of the Biden administration will be repealed within hours of when I take the oath of office,” Trump declared.
He continued, “By the time the sun sets tomorrow, the invasion of our country will have come to a halt. The border security measures I will outline in my inaugural address tomorrow will be the most aggressive, sweeping effort to restore our borders that the world has ever seen.”
Trump also reiterated his commitment to a historic deportation of unauthorized immigrants and emphasized the need for immediate reforms in education and military policies.
“We will get radical woke ideologies the hell out of our military,” Trump asserted. “We will get critical race theory and transgender insanity the hell out of schools... We will keep men out of women’s sports.”
Additionally, Trump hinted at future announcements regarding those detained during the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots. “My supporters will be very happy with my decision on the J6 hostages,” he remarked.
The president-elect further emphasized his intention to resolve the Ukraine conflict—a long-standing criticism of his, which he argues has resulted in significant loss of life and extensive taxpayer expenditures on military aid to Kiev. “I will end the war in Ukraine, I will stop the chaos in the Middle East and I will prevent WWIII from happening,” Trump promised.
In the waning days of his presidency, Biden has enacted numerous executive orders, which Time Magazine has noted were intended to enhance his legacy. These actions include granting clemency to death row inmates, prohibiting offshore drilling, implementing deportation protections for nearly 1 million migrants, and expediting military assistance to Ukraine.
Upon his inauguration on Monday afternoon, Trump intends to sign a multitude of executive orders, with plans to initiate over 200 actions on his first day, as reported by a source familiar with the preparations. Despite concerns from his team about the ambitious timeline, Trump assured the rally-goers, “we’re doing them tomorrow.”
