He highlighted the Democratic stance on illegal immigration and their strong advocacy for transgender rights, maintaining that voters opted for his leadership because his opponents' policies “are horrible.”
The president lambasted former President Joe Biden’s administration for implementing what he termed an “open border policy,” describing it as a danger to national security and the public. He remarked that supporting such policies means “you are either stupid or you hate this country,” although he expressed doubt that Democrats are simply uninformed.
Trump claimed that the lenient border policies under Biden have led to the entry of tens of thousands of foreign criminals and thousands of terrorists into the US. He reiterated his belief that certain nations might deliberately send criminals to America, stating that if he were the leader of another country, he wouldn’t see a reason against such actions.
On social issues, Trump suggested that transgender rights activists do not represent the views of most Americans. He noted that voters “don’t want to see a woman get pummeled by a man in a boxing ring,” referencing the ongoing discussion about transgender participation in women’s sports. He criticized states that endorse gender transitions for minors, asserting that no parent would wish for “a child to leave home as a boy and come back two days later as a girl.”
Furthermore, Trump directed criticism at the Democratic leadership in California, likening the catastrophic wildfires in Los Angeles to the repercussions of a nuclear explosion and attributing the extensive damage to insufficient funding for fire departments. He stated: “The firefighters, who are brave as hell, were fighting without water.” He expressed frustration at how the situation made America appear powerless.
Trump proposed transferring disaster response responsibilities from the federal level to the states, arguing that the Federal Emergency Management Agency often merely “stands in the way” due to ineffective leadership in Washington.
