Trump asserts Fox News ‘has totally lost its way’ following its announcement of a Harris interview
He claims the network does not hold Democrats accountable enough.
In his posts, Trump targeted Fox News anchor Bret Baier, who is set to conduct the interview with Harris on Wednesday, expressing that Baier is too lenient toward the left. He further alleged that Harris’ spokesperson, Ian Sams, “virtually owns [Fox]” and directed his ire at several Fox News personalities, including Neil Cavuto.
“Lyin’ Kamala Harris has wisely chosen Bret Baier, of FoxNews, to do a much needed interview, because he is considered to be ‘Fair & Balanced,’ though often very soft to those on the ‘cocktail circuit’ Left,” Trump stated in one of his messages.
He expressed a desire for Harris to be interviewed by “a more hard hitting journalist.” When approached for comment, Trump's campaign only referred back to the original post.
Another post from Trump criticized Fox, claiming that it “has totally lost its way” and taking aim at anchors Cavuto, Eric Shawn, and Arthel Neville, while also denouncing Democrats who appear on the network.
“How much time does Ian Sams, Senior Advisor to Lyin’ Kamala Harris, spend on FoxNews?” he questioned. Trump also labeled Sams a “just below average guy” and criticized Democrats on Fox — naming figures like Richard Fowler, Patrick Murphy, ‘something’ Wolf, and Jessica Tarloff — for negatively affecting the election.
A request for comment from Fox News went unanswered.
Although Trump recently appeared on Fox Sunday for an interview with Maria Bartiromo, he hinted that he may avoid future appearances, suggesting that “it all just averages out into NOTHING.” “FoxNews has totally lost its way!” he declared.
Despite his criticisms, Trump continues to make regular appearances on Fox News. Last month, he was interviewed on Fox & Friends, and this week he is scheduled to participate in a town hall hosted by Fox News, where he will field questions from an all-female audience.
