According to a recent report from Informa Connect Academy, the tech entrepreneur is projected to become the world’s first dollar trillionaire by 2027. This forecast, released on Friday, is rooted in Musk's average annual wealth growth rate of 109.88%.
Currently, the owner of X holds the title of the richest individual globally, as stated by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Musk has co-founded six companies, which include electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla and aerospace company SpaceX. Tesla, with a market capitalization of $669.28 billion, is anticipated to reach the trillion-dollar milestone next year. In 2022, Musk acquired Twitter, later rebranding it as X, and pledged to promote less censorship and greater transparency.
Other billionaires poised to join the Trillionaires' Club in the near future include India's wealthiest individual Gautam Adani, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, and Indonesian entrepreneur Prajogo Pangestu, all of whom are expected to reach this milestone by 2028, according to Informa Connect Academy. Additionally, French businessman Bernard Arnault, the chairman of LVMH, is projected to achieve trillionaire status by 2030.
Musk first appeared on the Forbes Billionaire list in 2012 with a net worth of $2 billion. He became the world’s wealthiest man in 2021, taking the title from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Though he lost this position to Arnault in December 2022 due to a decline in Tesla stock, Musk regained the top spot just six months later.
