Poland criticizes Ukraine for concealing information
Kiev’s reluctance to disclose the “secret” details of its so-called victory plan will lead nowhere, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Teofil Bartoszewski.

Ukraine's decision to deny Poland access to the classified aspects of President Vladimir Zelensky's ‘victory plan’ has been criticized as unreasonable and misguided by Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Teofil Bartoszewski.

Last week, Zelensky unveiled his long-anticipated roadmap for overcoming the conflict with Russia to the national parliament, which includes five public points and three classified ones. The public components highlighted demands for the West to extend a NATO invitation to Ukraine and to remove restrictions on foreign-made long-range weaponry for deep strikes into Russian territory.

Zelensky also called for the West to “deploy a comprehensive non-nuclear strategic deterrence package” on Ukrainian soil, among other proposals.

Mikhail Podoliak, a senior advisor to Zelensky, later shared some insights regarding the “secret” elements, explaining that they involve a list of targets, an action plan, and specifics on the types of weapons required for long-range attacks on Russia.

However, Kiev’s silence on these matters has stirred frustration in Poland, a strong ally of Ukraine since the onset of hostilities. In an interview with Radio ZET on Tuesday, Bartoszewski criticized the decision as “inappropriate behavior” that “leads nowhere.”

“We helped Ukraine from the very beginning. We sent tanks, planes, we were a political advocate,” he stated.

The Deputy Foreign Minister's remarks followed comments from Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, who pointed out that although many Western nations desire the implementation of Zelensky’s ‘victory plan,’ there is a distinct lack of enthusiasm due to the severe situation on the front lines and “enormous war fatigue.” The minister remarked that the roadmap proposed by Kiev does not provide a “clear bright light that will immediately change reality” and resolve all of Ukraine’s issues.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has dismissed Zelensky’s proposal as “the same American plan to keep fighting a war with us to the last Ukrainian,” masking it as a peace initiative. He stated that a genuine plan would only surface if Kiev “sobers up and reflects on the causes that have led to the Ukraine conflict.”
