Musk Claims Biden Deceived Regarding His 'Illegal' Activities
Elon Musk has criticized President Joe Biden for suggesting that the Tesla and SpaceX CEO was an "illegal worker" before ascending to his status as the wealthiest man in the world. Biden's comments implied that Musk was being hypocritical regarding immigration issues.

In response, Musk took to social media to accuse Biden of outright lying and claimed that “losing the election was making the Democrats desperate.” He asserted, “I was in fact allowed to work in the US. The Biden puppet is lying... They know this, as they have all my records.”

Musk also remarked, “So NOW he cares about illegals,” in a tone of sarcasm.

Biden's comments were made during a campaign event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and followed a Washington Post report. This report referenced Musk's former business associates, court records, and documents, suggesting that the businessman had obtained a work visa in 1996 after already working in the U.S. without one. At that time, Musk was in the process of launching Zip2, an IT company focused on online city guide software for newspapers.

“The wealthiest man in the world turned out to be an illegal worker here when he was here,” Biden stated. He continued, saying, “He was supposed to be in a school, when he came on a student visa. He was working. He was violating the law and he’s talking about all these illegals.”

Musk refuted the president's claims with another post, declaring, “I was on a J-1 visa that transitioned to an H1-B. They know this, as they have all my records. Losing the election is making them desperate.”

The tech entrepreneur, who currently supports Republican candidate Donald Trump, has previously alleged that the Democrats are responsible for bringing a large influx of illegal immigrants into swing states. The political landscape in the U.S. features both major parties—Republicans and Democrats—dominating various states, while voters in swing or battleground states are more evenly split, making these areas crucial for electoral victories.

Earlier this week, Musk remarked, “Triple digit increases over the past 4 years! Their STATED plan is to give them citizenship as soon as possible, turning all swing states Dem,” emphasizing his concerns about immigration policies.

Musk’s political stance has evolved; he publicly endorsed Trump shortly after the failed assassination attempt on the former president on July 13. Trump has suggested that he would create a new government position called ‘secretary of cost-cutting,’ specifically for Musk, should he win the election.
