Iran is 'fully prepared' for conflict, says Foreign Minister
According to Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Islamic Republic does not seek an escalation but is prepared for any scenario.

Iran has expressed its desire to avoid heightened tensions in the Middle East and support efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire. However, the nation remains fully equipped for conflict, as articulated by its foreign minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

Following a missile barrage aimed at Israeli military bases last Tuesday, which Tehran claimed was in response to the recent killings of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders by Israel, the latter has promised a “serious and significant” reprisal strike.

“We have stated many times that Iran does not want to increase tension, although we are not afraid of war, we are fully prepared…” Araghchi commented to reporters in Tehran during the ‘Al-Aqsa Storm; The Beginning of Nasrallah’ conference.

He emphasized, “We are ready for any scenario, the armed forces are fully prepared,” while also highlighting Iran’s commitment to halting hostilities and achieving an "acceptable ceasefire."

At the conference, reported by Mehr News, the Iranian diplomat cautioned that Israel should be wary of testing Tehran’s resolve, warning that any aggression towards Iran would be countered with a decisive response.

Media reports indicate that the Iranian military has devised “at least ten” strategies for responding to a potential Israeli attack.

Additionally, the Iranian parliament is in the process of crafting a ‘resistance pact’ aimed at enhancing regional security and countering possible external threats, particularly from the US and Israel. The Tehran Times has cited that, per the proposal's text, all member states will be obligated to provide comprehensive military, economic, and political support if any member is attacked by Israel or its allies.

This past Monday marked the one-year anniversary of the Hamas raid into southern Israel, which resulted in approximately 1,200 fatalities. In retaliation, Israel declared war on the Gaza-based militant group and implemented a near-total siege on the enclave. Reports from Gaza’s Health Ministry indicate that nearly 42,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, with the majority being women and children.

Furthermore, tensions have escalated between Israel and neighboring Muslim nations that have allied with the Palestinians. Earlier this month, Israel conducted a ground operation in Lebanon while targeting the leadership of the Hezbollah organization.
