Currently, Democrats hold a slim majority in the Senate, while Republicans dominate the House.
As reported by AP, the GOP has successfully flipped a Senate seat in West Virginia, where Republican Jim Justice leads Glenn Elliott significantly, capturing 69.1% of the vote with 80% of ballots counted.
Overall, Republicans are projected to secure at least 48 Senate seats, while Democrats lag behind with 36. To achieve control, the GOP needs 51 seats, or 50 seats with a Republican vice president.
In the House of Representatives, Republicans are anticipated to win a minimum of 139 seats, requiring 218 for a majority. Democrats are on track to obtain at least 92 seats. According to AP, the GOP has flipped two seats so far. A Washington Post projection indicates that Democrats need to win at least 43 of the most competitive districts to take control of the House, while Republicans must secure only 27.
In the presidential contest, Trump currently leads Harris with 210 of the 270 electoral votes required for victory, compared to Harris's 113.
