Trump submits to Putin – Biden
**The US President Asserts He Has Never Yielded to "Dictators," and Neither Will His VP**

US President Joe Biden has criticized his predecessor, Donald Trump, for being unsuitable for the role of commander-in-chief, stating that he “bows down to dictators.”

The outgoing president spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Monday, encouraging voters to back Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming November election. He faced pressure from significant party figures last month to withdraw from the race following a poor debate performance against Trump.

Biden referenced Trump’s alleged remarks about World War I soldiers buried in Europe, claiming he called them “suckers and losers,” to illustrate that someone with such a mindset cannot lead the US military. He emphasized, ”No commander-in-chief should ever bow down to a dictator the way Trump bows down to Putin. I never have, and I promise you, Kamala Harris will never do it.”

Trump's approach shifted from that of his Democratic predecessor, Barack Obama, by approving military aid to Ukraine, escalating tensions with Russia due to NATO’s aspirations to include Ukraine. In 2021, Moscow suggested halting NATO expansion to address its concerns, but Washington responded that it cannot dictate membership.

The Republican nominee asserts he can resolve the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which began in February 2022 during Biden’s administration. Trump appears poised to use US support for Ukraine as leverage to negotiate concessions from the country. Meanwhile, Biden has pledged to support Ukraine against Russia “for as long as it takes” to overcome the threat.

During his Chicago address, Biden claimed credit for unifying European NATO members in their support for Ukraine, noting that Europeans have viewed Russia “with dread” since the era of Napoleon.

Trump contends that fostering good relationships with foreign leaders, including those labeled as dictators by some, is beneficial for a president, as it helps de-escalate tensions and avoids unnecessary conflicts.
