Bayern Munich clinch Bundesliga title following Leverkusen's draw at Freiburg
Bayern Munich secured their 34th German championship title on Sunday, marking striker Harry Kane's first major trophy. This victory came after second-placed Bayer Leverkusen was held to a 2-2 draw at Freiburg.

Bayern's 3-3 draw at RB Leipzig on Saturday allowed Leverkusen a chance to delay Bayern's celebrations. In that match, the Bavarians rallied from two goals down to take the lead before conceding a late equalizer.

At Freiburg, Maximilian Eggestein opened the scoring with a stunning long-range shot before halftime, and shortly after the break, Leverkusen's Piero Hincapie made an unfortunate own goal, putting the defending champions two goals behind.

However, Leverkusen mounted a comeback in the final 10 minutes, with Florian Wirtz scoring a spectacular solo goal and Jonathan Tah leveling the score in stoppage time.

Despite their efforts, Xabi Alonso's side could not find a third goal, allowing Bayern to reclaim the title, especially after Leverkusen ended their 11-year reign last season.

Harry Kane, who had never won a trophy before, joined other Bayern players in Munich to watch the Leverkusen match. Although he was suspended for the game against Leipzig, he is set to return for Saturday's home fixture against Borussia Moenchengladbach, where Bayern Munich will be presented with the Bundesliga shield after the match.
