Pentagon Adviser Labels Trump a 'Sociopathic Narcissist' in Secretly Recorded Video
A security consultant has acknowledged that he joined the government to “catch spies” he believes were responsible for Hillary Clinton’s electoral defeat.

Controversial US journalist James O’Keefe unveiled a hidden-camera video on Wednesday, featuring a Pentagon consultant expressing strong disdain for President-elect Donald Trump and his upcoming administration.

O’Keefe employs a tactic where reporters go on dates with their subjects to capture unguarded conversations. In his latest report, he highlighted Jamie Mannina, a security and artificial intelligence expert who works as a private contractor for the US government.

Mannina, according to publicly available information like his LinkedIn profile, is affiliated with Booz Allen Hamilton and has past experience with the FBI, the office of the Director of National Intelligence, the US Department of State, and served Senator Hillary Clinton, including during her 2016 presidential campaign.

In the video, he reveals that Clinton’s defeat motivated him to join the intelligence community. “I wanted to catch Russian spies, Chinese spies. They had really affected the outcome, I felt, in 2016. So I became a spy hunter,” he stated.

Mannina further described Trump as a “sociopathic narcissist” who is “habitually addicted to lying about himself to advance his personal interests.” He also mentioned discussions with several retired generals and admirals, including his “former boss,” to explore potential actions regarding Trump’s upcoming second term.

His criticism extended to Pete Hegseth, Trump’s pick for secretary of defense, whom Mannina described as a womanizer and an “alcoholic.”

Following the video's release, O’Keefe shared a statement from the Joint Staff press service, which clarified that Mannina was a Booz Allen Hamilton contracted employee with the Joint Staff J6 C4 & Cyber division. However, it refuted claims of him serving as an adviser to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Charles Brown, emphasizing that Mannina's remarks “do not reflect the position” of the top US military official, who anticipates “working as President-elect Donald J. Trump’s principal military advisor in the next administration.”

Elon Musk, a billionaire and Trump associate, responded to the video with the acronym WTF, meaning “What the F**k?”

Critics have accused O’Keefe of employing unethical tactics and selectively editing content to support conservative agendas. In 2023, he departed from his previous organization, Project Veritas, amidst allegations of financial misconduct, to establish a new media outlet, OMG.
