Musk Unveils Strategy for Trump Administration
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has announced his intention to enhance government efficiency by reducing the number of federal agencies, should he assume a position in Donald Trump's administration. Musk, a supporter of Trump, made these statements during an appearance on Tucker Carlson’s online show, which was streamed from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on Tuesday.

Initially claiming political neutrality, Musk formally endorsed Trump following an assassination attempt on the president-elect in July. Trump assured Musk that he would create a special “government efficiency” commission, known as the DOGE, to be led by Musk if he wins the election.

During his conversation with Carlson, Musk expressed his willingness to assist Trump in improving the efficiency of the US government.

“I’d be happy to help improve government efficiency,” Musk said. “We’ve got a gigantic government bureaucracy, we’ve got overregulation, we’ve got agencies that have overlapping responsibilities… this translates into real costs to people, they’re hidden costs but they are very substantial.”

Musk has contributed millions to support Trump, reportedly donating at least $118 million to a political action committee focused on voter outreach for the Republican Party. Speaking at a Trump rally last month, Musk vowed to help reduce US annual budget spending by “at least $2 trillion” through a review of federal agencies that he would undertake if Trump assumes the presidency again.

“Your tax money is being wasted and the Department of Government Efficiency is going to fix that,” Musk stated.

In addition, Musk has voiced concerns about the US debt, warning just last week that the nation is on the brink of bankruptcy and will quickly face ruin if Washington does not reduce its spending.
