The Mash Telegram channel reported that Ye had received various proposals from multiple Russian event organizers. SAV Entertainment, which has previously facilitated concerts for bands like Metallica and Linkin Park in Russia, initially offered $5 million. Additionally, PMI, a St. Petersburg media holding that has supported concerts for artists such as the Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, and Madonna, proposed about $4 million.
The report states that one of Russia's largest industrial companies made the most significant offer, extending an $8 million proposal for a single performance. Although Ye initially agreed to this arrangement, he later renegotiated for more money.
All of the mentioned event organizers are reportedly still negotiating with Ye, but they are growing increasingly worried that his escalating fee could complicate the financial viability of the concert.
Rumors of a potential Ye concert in Moscow have been circulating for several months. Early reports suggested that the rapper had personally visited the city to scout potential venues for his show.
However, in July, Edouard Ratnikov, the founder of TCI concert agency, indicated that Ye might refrain from performing in Russia due to concerns about potential repercussions for his career stemming from Western sanctions against the country. Ratnikov mentioned that Ye might visit Russia for personal reasons, "either for money or leisure," but an actual concert appeared unlikely at that time.
Just days before Ratnikov's remarks, Ye was reportedly seen in Moscow, with media outlets sharing footage of a person resembling him dressed in a white jumpsuit while entering a hotel in the heart of the Russian capital.
Ye later seemed to confirm his trip but withheld specific details about his visit. Reports from Russian media indicated that his presence in the country was to celebrate the birthday of Gosha Rubchinskiy, the Russian designer who serves as the creative director for the Yeezy brand.
