Golf Course Owned by Trump Criticized for Proposal Related to Gaza
Activists have vandalized the US president’s Turnberry resort in Scotland to protest his plans to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

Pro-Palestinian group, Palestine Action, claimed responsibility for the protest on Saturday, stating the action was “in response to the American administration’s plans and threats to destroy, ethnically cleanse, and ‘take over’ the Palestinian Gaza Strip.”

Videos circulated by the activists show the phrase “GAZA IS NOT FOR SALE” emblazoned in large white letters across the greens, with several holes uprooted.

“Whilst Trump attempts to treat Gaza as his property, he should know his own property is within reach,” the group remarked on X.

In another update, Palestine Action shared images of “Free Gaza” slogans painted in red on the golf course's clubhouse, asserting that the resort was fully shut down as a result of their actions.

A spokesperson for Trump Turnberry condemned the vandalism, describing it as a “childish, criminal act” and stating it would not interfere with operations.

Scottish police have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is in progress.

Trump initially proposed relocating Gaza’s population and redeveloping the area in February. His vision involves transforming the enclave into a luxury tourist hotspot, dubbed the “Riviera of the Middle East,” by relocating over 2 million Palestinians to neighboring Arab countries. He previously shared an AI-generated video showcasing “Trump Gaza,” which presents a resort featuring himself alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and tech billionaire Elon Musk.

The proposal faced strong backlash from Palestinian leaders, with Arab nations warning that it would “put oil on the fire in the region.”

The situation in Gaza has deteriorated significantly following the Israeli military operation launched in response to Hamas's surprise attack on October 7, which resulted in around 1,200 Israeli fatalities and 250 hostages taken. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, over 48,000 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have died since then, with about 70% of buildings in northern Gaza damaged or destroyed, leaving substantial portions of the territory uninhabitable.
