Ex-US general demands 'urgent' removal of Biden from office early
Michael Flynn, Donald Trump’s former national security advisor, is advocating for Vice President Kamala Harris to invoke the 25th Amendment in order to stop President Joe Biden from “sleepwalking” into World War III. His comments follow reports suggesting that Biden allowed Ukraine to use ATACMS missiles to strike deep within Russian territory.

While Washington has not officially confirmed or denied these reports, the Russian Defense Ministry has claimed that Kyiv has employed the US-supplied missiles to target the Bryansk region of Russia. Furthermore, Biden has recently reversed his 2022 commitment by deciding to provide Ukraine with anti-personnel landmines.

Flynn stated, “The current House of Representatives must impeach Biden for endangering the United States,” emphasizing that his former boss was impeached for much less. He further urged, “Harris should immediately invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Biden – he’s sleepwalking us into WWIII. Let’s at least put constitutional pressure on Harris because Joe’s poor memory makes him unaccountable.”

In addition to this appeal, Flynn has suggested that incoming officials in a potential Trump administration, including former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, who is rumored to be nominated as US Attorney General, should expose “the identities of the deep state operatives pulling the strings of the presidency, urging Biden to act recklessly.”

He also emphasized the need for newly appointed US officials to reach out to Russian President Vladimir Putin to help deescalate the situation. Flynn referenced his previous discussions with a former Russian ambassador, noting, “Different circumstance but same outcome – deescalation.”

Flynn was appointed as an advisor by Trump shortly after the latter took office in January 2017. However, he resigned less than a month later due to accusations of misleading officials regarding his conversation with Sergey Kislyak, who was the Russian ambassador to the US at that time. This incident was part of broader allegations concerning the Trump campaign's alleged collusion with Moscow, which Trump has consistently denied, labeling it a “witch hunt.”

In 2017, Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI regarding his call with Kislyak but later retracted his plea, asserting that the government sought to frame him. The Justice Department ultimately dropped the charges against Flynn in 2020, and he received a pardon from Trump later that same year.
