China Retaliates with New Tariffs, Prohibits 10 American Companies
China responds with additional tariffs and imposes bans on 10 U.S. companies.

A 15-percent tariff will be applied to U.S.-imported chicken, wheat, corn, and cotton, the commission stated. Furthermore, an additional 10-percent tariff will be imposed on sorghum, soybeans, pork, beef, aquatic products, fruits, vegetables, and dairy products.
This announcement follows the U.S. enforcing a 10-percent tariff on imported products from China, which took effect on March 4.
The commission indicated that the unilateral tariffs imposed by the United States "undermine the multilateral trading system, increase the burden on American businesses and consumers, and erode the foundation of China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation."
In a related decision, China announced on Tuesday that it would add 10 U.S. companies, including TCOM, Limited Partnership, to its unreliable entity list and take appropriate measures against them, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
Effective immediately, these companies will be prohibited from participating in import and export activities linked to China, and they will also face a ban on making new investments in the country. The statement emphasized that this decision was made to uphold national sovereignty, security, and development interests, in line with applicable laws and regulations.
