In line with its traditions, this year's summit introduced four new initiatives.
The WIC Distinguished Contribution Award was launched to recognize individuals and enterprises that have made remarkable contributions to the global internet sector. This initiative aims to inspire all stakeholders to collaboratively foster the growth of the internet industry and ensure that more countries and people can reap the benefits of internet advancement. At the award ceremony during the summit's opening, seven individuals and 14 enterprises were honored for their accomplishments.
Additionally, the summit established the WIC Specialized Committee on Artificial Intelligence, envisioned as an international platform for fostering cooperation and exchange in the field of AI.
The WIC Think Tank Cooperation Program was initiated through the collaboration of 60 think tanks from WIC member organizations and prominent international think tanks within the global internet sector. This program is intended to create a long-term platform for academic exchange and intellectual dialogue.
Furthermore, the summit saw the creation of the WIC Digital Academy, which will host the WIC Global Elite Training program.
