X halts the account of Iranian supreme leader
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s new Hebrew-language account has been suspended by Elon Musk’s X platform for breaching its policies.

The account, created on Saturday, became unavailable the next day.

"Account suspended. X suspends accounts which violate the X Rules,” the platform stated. X has yet to elaborate on the reasons for this action.

The suspension occurred shortly after a message was shared on the page, stating: “The Zionist regime made a mistake. It erred in its calculations on Iran. We will cause it to understand what kind of strength, ability, initiative, and will the Iranian nation has.”

Khamenei's statement seemingly referenced the IDF's attack on Iran early Saturday, in which West Jerusalem claimed to have targeted about 20 military sites in retaliation for a missile strike from Tehran against Israel earlier this month. Iran has acknowledged the attack but asserted that it resulted in only “limited damage.”

Additionally, on October 1, Iran launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel, asserting that this action was in response to the killings of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, along with an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps general.

Despite the suspension of the Hebrew account, Khamenei's English-language account on X, which has 1.3 million followers, is still active. One of his recent messages on that page declared, “we must make the Zionists [the Israelis] understand the power of Iranian people.”

In another post, he criticized the UN and other international organizations for “not doing their duty… of confronting” Israel, which is not only targeting Iran but also conducting military operations in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
