RFK Jr. Accuses Biden of Leading US to 'nuclear immolation'
Former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has echoed Donald Trump's concerns regarding Russia's nuclear capabilities. Kennedy criticized the aggressive stance of President Joe Biden's administration towards Russia, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, suggesting that such an approach could escalate into a nuclear conflict.

Kennedy's remarks followed a debate between Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, and his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, which occurred in Philadelphia on Tuesday night. During the debate, Trump remarked on the situation in Ukraine, emphasizing that Russian President Vladimir Putin "has got a thing that other people do not have. He has got nuclear weapons. They do not ever talk about that. And eventually maybe he will use them. Maybe he has not been that threatening. But he does have that."

In response, Kennedy took to X, asserting, “Trump makes a point that I hope everyone hears: Russia has nuclear weapons.” He expressed concern regarding the Biden administration's confrontational policy, stating, “The Biden administration’s policy of maximum confrontation, seeking Russia’s humiliating defeat and regime change, is a recipe for nuclear immolation.”

Kennedy, who suspended his presidential campaign last month and endorsed Trump, shared a pinned message on his X page encouraging followers to vote for Trump, declaring, “Bottom line: No matter what state you live in, vote Trump. A Trump victory is a Kennedy victory.”

During the debate, Trump reiterated that he could resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict “in 24 hours” if he were to be re-elected this November. He insisted, “It is in the US’ best interest to get this war finished and just get it done. We need to negotiate a deal because we have to stop all these human lives from being destroyed.” Trump attributed the escalation of conflict between Moscow and Kiev to Biden and Harris's lack of understanding in dealing with Putin, warning, “And it is only getting worse; it could lead to World War III.”

In June, Putin indicated that Russia would enhance its nuclear arsenal, which he views as crucial for national security. He cautioned that Russia would employ all means necessary to defend itself in the face of existential threats. However, he also stated that any conflict involving nuclear weapons would have catastrophic consequences for humanity, insisting that Moscow does not seek to provoke tensions and hopes it “will never come to” an actual nuclear exchange.
