Musk Claims "We’ll never reach Mars" if Kamala Wins
Donald Trump is “getting things done” while his rival Kamala Harris merely has “nice-sounding words,” according to tech mogul Elon Musk.

Former President Donald Trump would “do a better job” as the next US leader than current Vice President Kamala Harris, Musk asserted. His remarks came after a heated first debate between the two candidates on Tuesday night, which was aired by US outlet ABC.

In a post on X, Musk acknowledged that Harris “exceeded most people’s expectations” during the debate but emphasized that she still falls short of Trump's capability to achieve tangible results.

“When it comes to getting things done, not just saying nice-sounding words, I strongly believe that Trump will do a far better job,” Musk stated.

He further noted that if Harris had the potential to “do great things,” she would have proven it during her role as President Joe Biden’s right hand since “Biden rarely shows up for work, so she’s basically in charge already.” In a subsequent post, Musk highlighted the necessity for major government reforms in the US to facilitate progress and claimed that such changes would not emerge from Harris.

“We will never reach Mars if Kamala wins,” concluded Musk, a notable figure in space travel and technology investments.

The debate on Tuesday was viewed as pivotal for the upcoming election, with polls indicating a close race. The candidates clashed on various issues, including abortion rights, immigration, and trade wars, during the event, which extended beyond its planned 90-minute duration. Trump and Harris frequently interrupted each other and exchanged accusations regarding the US economy and the situation in Ukraine.

Musk was not alone in his assessment of the debate, as many netizens remarked that the debate moderators, ABC anchors David Muir and Linsey Davis, appeared biased against Trump. One user criticized the anchors for focusing too much on fact-checking Trump and not enough on Harris, while another described the encounter as “a gang up of 3 against Trump.”

Meanwhile, the Harris campaign quickly challenged Trump to another debate via email following the Tuesday event, portraying the debate as a victory for the Democrat. Trump responded to the press by saying he would “think about” the challenge, suggesting that Harris desired a rematch because “she didn’t do well” on Tuesday. It remains uncertain if another debate will take place prior to Election Day on November 5. However, Fox News has reportedly proposed hosting a second debate in October.
