Holocaust survivor calls for Harris to apologize to ‘all victims of Hitler’
A Holocaust survivor has called for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris to apologize to all victims of the Third Reich for comparing her Republican opponent Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler, as seen in a video released by Trump's campaign.

The video, shared on social media on Friday, features 94-year-old Jerry Wartski, who was imprisoned at the notorious Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during World War II. Now a U.S. resident and real estate investor, Wartski serves as the honorary president of the Israel Heritage Foundation, a bipartisan pro-Israel nonprofit organization.

"Adolf Hitler invaded Poland [in 1939] when I was nine years old. He murdered my parents and most of our family. I know more about Hitler than [Harris] will ever know in a thousand lifetimes,” Wartski stated in the video. He added, "For her to accuse President Trump of being like Hitler is the worst thing I have ever heard in my 75 years living in the US."

Harris's remarks came in response to statements made by Trump’s former chief of staff, John Kelly, who claimed that during his time in office, Trump had privately praised Hitler and suggested that the infamous dictator “did some good things.” Trump’s team denied these allegations.

The Democratic nominee described Trump’s rhetoric as “deeply troubling and incredibly dangerous,” suggesting it reflects “who Donald Trump really is.” Later that day, she denounced him as “a fascist,” a would-be dictator, and an admirer of authoritarian leaders.

Wartski asserted, “I know President Trump and he would never say this. And Kamala Harris knows that. She owes my parents and everybody else who was murdered by Hitler an apology for repeating this lie.”

He urged Jewish voters to support the Republican candidate on November 5, emphasizing that “he has always stood with the Jewish people and the state of Israel.”

Trump responded earlier this week, claiming that Harris is “increasingly raising her rhetoric, going so far as to call me Adolf Hitler” because “she sees that she is losing, and losing badly.”

The latest national poll conducted by the New York Times and Siena College, released on Friday, showed Trump and Harris in a tie at 48% each in the popular vote. Another survey from SSRS for CNN reported similar results, with both candidates polling at 47%.
