Barcelona Overwhelms Dortmund in UEFA Champions League Match, PSG Narrowly Defeats Aston Villa
Robert Lewandowski netted two goals to propel Barcelona to a dominant 4-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday.

Under the guidance of Hansi Flick, Barcelona is now on the brink of advancing to the semi-finals for the first time since 2019 and has extended its unbeaten streak to 23 matches.

The five-time champions opened the scoring through the in-form winger Raphinha before Lewandowski added to his impressive tally, bringing his season total to 40 with his brace.

Teenage sensation Lamine Yamal was relentless throughout the match, skillfully converting Barcelona's fourth goal as Dortmund faltered.

Having last won the trophy in 2015, Barcelona is aiming to secure a spot in the final four against either Inter Milan or Bayern Munich when they travel to Germany next Tuesday.

In a separate clash, Paris Saint-Germain endured a tense match to achieve a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, coming back after the visitors took an unexpected lead.

Morgan Rogers surprised the home crowd by scoring first for Unai Emery's team in the first half, but PSG quickly shifted momentum, with goals from teenager Desire Doué, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Nuno Mendes leading the newly crowned Ligue 1 champions to a well-earned win.

PSG showcased their control of the game, dominating possession with a mix of patient ball movement, technical skill, and their signature high pressing.

Aston Villa, whose seven-match winning streak across all competitions ended with this loss, will need to up their game in the return leg scheduled for next Tuesday.
