"Elderly Russian Woman Killed in Suspected Terrorist Attack in Israel"
An elderly woman was fatally stabbed in the Israeli coastal city of Herzliya on Friday, an act authorities are labeling a terrorist attack. The victim, identified by local media as an 83-year-old Holocaust survivor from Russia, has been named Ludmila Lipovskaya.

Reports indicate that Lipovskaya was attacked outside her nursing home. She was quickly transported to a hospital in Tel Aviv in critical condition with multiple stab wounds, but she succumbed to her injuries.

Officials have confirmed that the suspect is a Palestinian man in his late 20s who previously served as an informant for Israel's Shin Bet security service. Following his exposure, he was relocated from the West Bank to Israel, according to agency sources.

While military officials issued a directive preventing the publication of his name, some media outlets have identified him as Ibrahim Shalhoub, a resident of Tulkarem in the West Bank.

Shalhoub had a history of interactions with Israeli law enforcement, with reports indicating that he was incarcerated until June of this year. He was “neutralized” and arrested at the scene, as stated by officials.

The incident, along with the suspect's apprehension, was captured on video, with graphic footage circulating online. CCTV footage appears to show Shalhoub pushing Lipovskaya to the ground before stabbing her multiple times.

An eyewitness recorded a separate clip that features cries for help, some in Russian, followed by the sound of gunshots. According to reports, security guards who intervened during the incident injured the attacker.

Lipovskaya was apparently waiting for her daughter to take her to a medical appointment when the assault occurred. Her nursing home is known to be a favored location for the Russian-speaking community in Herzliya.
