Drone Attack Targets Netanyahu's Residence
On Saturday, the Lebanon-based Hezbollah movement launched three UAVs armed with explosives toward Israel, marking a significant development in the ongoing conflict.

Israeli media outlets reported that one of the unmanned aerial vehicles struck the vacation home of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea. According to his office, this incident represents the first assault targeted at such a prominent Israeli figure since the conflict began.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that “a building had been hit” in the Caesarea area and noted that three drones had been launched from Lebanon, with two others being intercepted. Social media circulated video footage depicting a large drone flying over a helicopter in the vicinity of the city, reportedly connected to Hezbollah’s attack.

While it remains uncertain whether Netanyahu's residence suffered substantial damage, local residents described hearing a “large explosion” and a “huge, powerful” blast. Reports indicate that the prime minister and his wife were not present at the time of the incident.

In response to the attack, Netanyahu expressed his determination to persist in the ongoing conflict, asserting that nothing would dissuade him from moving forward. Footage of him addressing the incident was shared by journalists on social media.

In addition, the IDF reported a significant missile barrage by Hezbollah targeting northern Israel that same day, with around 55 projectiles launched. The Israeli military indicated that this assault forced “hundreds of thousands of Israelis to spend their weekend running to shelter.”

These strikes occurred shortly after Hezbollah announced that its confrontation with Israel had entered a new phase, particularly following the Israeli military's elimination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar earlier in the week.

The exchange of missile strikes between Hezbollah and Israel has intensified since last October, when Israel initiated its military operation against Hamas in Gaza, in response to a deadly attack that resulted in approximately 1,100 fatalities and the abduction of more than 200 individuals.

Last month, the situation escalated into a full-scale military confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah, triggered by a series of explosions in Lebanon, which were followed by extensive Israeli airstrikes and a limited ground operation in the southern region of the country.
