In a written statement, Xi conveyed his best wishes and greetings on behalf of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese government, and its people to the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), the Vietnamese government, and the people of Vietnam.
He highlighted that this year is significant, marking the 95th anniversary of the CPV, the 80th anniversary of Vietnam, and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South. Xi acknowledged that the CPV has effectively united and guided the Vietnamese people in their pursuit of the goals set for both the Party's and the country's centenary.

Referring to the strong ties shared by the two countries, Xi noted that as socialist neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, China and Vietnam have formed a community with a shared future that carries strategic importance.
He added that during the challenging years of striving for independence and liberation, the two sides supported each other and built a robust friendship characterized by "comrades and brothers." In pursuing a socialist path tailored to their unique national conditions, both sides have learned from one another and demonstrated the promising prospects of socialism to the world.
During a previous state visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi mentioned that both sides had announced the intention to build a community with a shared future, marking a new phase in their bilateral relations. He highlighted that 2025 will mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the countries and will also be designated as the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges, creating new opportunities for advancing their community-building efforts.
Standing at a new historical starting point, Xi emphasized China’s readiness to collaborate with Vietnam to remain committed to their shared mission, seize present opportunities, and enhance cooperation across broader fronts to benefit both peoples and contribute to regional and global well-being.
He expressed his anticipation for in-depth discussions with Vietnamese leaders on issues of mutual concern that have global implications, including strategic directions for future relations and international and regional challenges.
Xi also viewed this visit as a chance to collaborate with Vietnamese officials to establish a new framework for building the China-Vietnam community with a shared future. In his wishes for Vietnam, Xi expressed hopes for prosperity, strength, and the well-being of its citizens.
